The Stamford Painters provides interior painting, exterior painting and cabinet painting for homes, condos and businesses in Stamford and the towns around it. The estimate costs nothing and ends with a quote on paper.

- Walls, ceilings, trim and doors inside the house.
- Exterior siding, cedar shingle, clapboard, trim and doors.
- Kitchen and bath cabinets.
- Offices, shops, common areas and apartment units.
- Decks, stained or painted.
- Drywall and plaster repair before paint.
Why painting is different around Stamford
Paint here faces four seasons. National Weather Service normals for nearby Bridgeport put the average January high near 38 degrees and the low near 24, and July highs in the low 80s. Wood swells in humid summers and shrinks in dry, heated winters, so joints open and caulk splits. Homes on Long Island Sound, in Shippan, the Cove, Old Greenwich and Darien, also take salt air and wind, while houses on wooded lots inland stay shaded and damp.
The housing is varied: cedar shingle cottages and shingle-style homes by the water, colonials and capes across the suburbs, Victorians and two-family houses near downtown, and condo and apartment towers in the city center. Many were built before 1978, and their old paint may contain lead, which brings federal lead-safe rules into play.
How we work
Each job begins with a free estimate. We walk the property, measure, talk through colors and sheen, and send a written quote listing the prep, the paint and the price. On the work days we cover floors and furniture, then patch, sand, caulk and prime before two finish coats. A typical room takes a day or two, and a full exterior about three to five days, with weather setting the pace. At the end we clean up and walk through the finished work with you.
